01 THE BASICS
The fear we hear most from Indiana seniors is the same one: I'm too old, my health isn't perfect, they'll just turn me down. Mostly, that isn't true — and it stops a lot of people from even asking.
Senior plans are built differently. Most require no medical exam. Some ask a handful of health questions; guaranteed acceptance plans ask none at all. Once you're issued, your rate is locked for good.

A SIMPLE GUIDE
✓ No medical exam on most plans — a few health questions, or none at all.
✓ Guaranteed acceptance options up to age 85 — health conditions rarely rule you out.
✓ Your premium is locked at issue — it never increases as you get older.
✓ The benefit goes straight to your family, generally tax-free — for the funeral, the bills, whatever's needed.
02 WHO IT'S FOR
Most senior policies do one of these three jobs — and we'll help you
size it to the one that matters to you.
An Indiana funeral averages around $9,000. A policy sized to it means your kids grieve without a bill.

Adult children often arrange this. With your parent's knowledge and consent, you can help get them covered — and we'll walk you both through it on the same call.
A benefit that lands after you're gone — for a grandchild, a church, a debt you'd rather not pass on.
03 GOOD TO KNOW
What Indiana parents ask us most,
before they get started.
Almost certainly not. Guaranteed acceptance options are available up to age 85, and many plans require no medical exam at all. Being older, or in imperfect health, doesn't automatically disqualify you.
Most senior plans require no medical exam. Some ask a few health questions; guaranteed acceptance plans ask none. We'll tell you up front which path fits your situation.
Health conditions may affect which plans you qualify for and what they cost — but they rarely rule out coverage entirely. Because we're independent, we shop carriers to find the ones that view your situation most favorably.
No. On these plans your premium is locked when the policy is issued, and it doesn't increase as you get older.
On guaranteed acceptance policies, usually yes — and you deserve to know this before you sign. These typically carry a graded death benefit: if death occurs from natural causes within roughly the first two years, the policy returns the premiums you paid rather than the full benefit. Accidental death is generally covered from day one. Plans that ask health questions often have no waiting period at all.
We will always tell you plainly which type of policy you're being offered and whether a waiting period applies. Terms vary by carrier and policy.
Yes — with their knowledge and consent, and where you have an insurable interest, which adult children generally do. Many Indiana families arrange this together, and we're glad to walk both of you through it on the same call.
